Dear Servites,

I received this email from Pershing Golez,OSSM, about the situation in the Philippines. It is too soon to determine the extent of the damage, especially to some of our OSSM communities that were directly effected. As we get further information, we shall communicate this to you. For now, as indicated by Pershing, your prayers are requested for all who have died and all who have been effected by this powerful typhoon. Lord, hear our prayer.

Fr. Vidal Martínez,OSM
OSSM National Assistant

Dear Fr.Vidal,

There was no damage in Manila but our OSSM Communities which was the center of the typhoon cannot be contacted. We have three OSSM Communities in Leyte: Infant Jesus, Juliana Falconiere and St Michael Archangel. I had been sending messages/calls to our Leyte, Bohol and Cebu Communities. I only got a reply from Macrohom (St. Michael) amd Cebu (St. Peregrine). Up to this morning, communications in Leyte are still down. Leyte is vastly devastated, the whole Tacloban City wiped out. Sad very sad. I also could not contact my personal friends.

More than anything else, they need our prayers. I will update you Father Vidal once a get some news.

God bless.
